COVID UPDATE

Dear Clients 

We would like to start with thanking you all for your loyalty and patience as we continue to navigate the new norm at The White Room Hair Salon. Your health and safety as well as our staff’s health and safety are our number one priority and we continue to make the necessary changes as COVID-19 restrictions continue to evolve. Please read the various changes below:

We will be offering full services (includes wash and bow-dry to haircuts) beginning Saturday, August 1 2020.

Our Self Dry Station will remain closed.

As of August 1, 2020, there will be a price increase of $4.

Price increase is for haircuts and blow-dry services. Chemical services prices will be adjusted separately and colourist will notify you.

This price is minimal and something that we must do in order to continue to provide you with the quality service that you’ve come to expect and deserve.

Please bring our own disposable mask for colour/highlights services as we will have limited masks to provide.

We can provide you with a mask if you don’t have one for a small fee of $2.

We encourage clients to please bring your own cash for gratuities. You can also e-transfer your stylist or colourist (please ask Salon Coordinator for email).

Salon coordinators will be assisting clients that want to add tips to the card, however we are still trying to minimize risk as much as possible.

We are transitioning to email confirmation. Please either update your email or add email to your profile to better service you.

The emails are for strictly email confirmations and updates especially in today times. No Spam emails.

We will be closing on Mondays as of Monday, August 3 2020.

1) Please wait in your car to be called in for your appointment.

2) Please do not bring your purse, just your payment method and cellphone are permitted.

3) Outside food and/or drinks will not be permitted in the salon. Serving beverages of any kind, magazines, and complimentary charging stations will be temporarily unavailable.

4) Bathroom is temporarily closed.

5) Stay home if they are sick and/or not feeling well.

6) Attend appointments alone. Friends, family members, children and/or pets will be asked to stay at home.

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

1) Wear a face mask in the location at all times. Please bring a personal mask from home, as we will have a limited quantity available in location.

2) Please do not bring your purse, just your payment method and cellphone are permitted.

3) We encourage clients to please bring your own cash  for gratuities. You can also e-transfer your stylist or colourist (please ask salon coordinator for email) Salon coordinators will be assisting clients that want to add tips to the card, however we are still trying to minimize risk as much as possible.

4) Arrive no more than five minutes before your booked appointment, as designated waiting areas will no longer be available. You will be asked to wait outside until your service provider is ready to serve you. 

5) Attend appointments alone. Friends, family members, children and/or pets will be asked to stay at home.

6) Accept the terms and conditions sent to you via appointment confirmation, prior to arriving at the location.  

7) Our self dry station will also be closed for the time being.

ARRIVING AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

1) You will be asked to confirm if you are feeling well – no fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.

2) Expect to have your temperature taken upon entering the location. We will use a contactless, infrared thermometer to check the temperature of every team member and client that enters the salon. Any team member or client with a temperature above 99°F will be sent home, advised to seek medical attention and welcomed to return to the location when a fever and symptoms of COVID-19 no longer exist.

3) Please disinfect your hands upon arrival or sanitation stations provided. 

4) Outside food and/or drinks will not be permitted in the salon. Serving beverages of any kind, magazines, and complimentary charging stations will be temporarily unavailable.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

1) Please prepare to pay for service(s) and/or product(s) in the chair to limit front-desk interactions. A pin pad will be provided, and cashless payments will be both preferred and encouraged.

WE HAVE MANDATED THAT ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST:

1) Wear a mask at all times. 

2) Wear a face shield at the washbasin when removing colour from client’s hair.

3) Wear a face shield during all face-to-face interactions with clients.

4) Wash their hands, before and after every appointment.

5) Clean and disinfect all tools with alcohol, before and after every appointment.

6) Clean and disinfect their chair and station, before and after every appointment.

7) Sanitize their hands throughout the service if they change tools or step away from their station at any time.

8) Use clean and sanitized towels.

9) Stay home if they are sick and/or not feeling well.
